Losing weight is a simple calculation.  However, the two words, weight loss, have created billions of dollars along with many myths or untruths.  This is comes from mainly people getting into the wellness industry to profit  from a society that not only loves to eat, but eat poorly.  The Standard American Diet is SAD although it is much sadder, to me, that wellness and fitness industry professionals push quick weight loss routines or unrealistic gimmicks rather than getting to the root of the problem.  All of these high priced weight loss systems have something in common: BURN MORE CALORIES OR TAKE IN LESS.   We must take it on ourselves as professionals to teach people to create diets (food plans) that are realistic and allows us to eat more quality and less calories.  So before you purchase the next diet craze, just remember, if it works it is causing you to take fewer calories in or allowing you a way of burning more off.  Losing weight should start by educating yourself on what foods are healthy. Also we must learn to eat when we are hungry and not just because its available.
A professional or a good weight loss educational course on whats good and whats bad, would be helpful..  As professionals, we should review the different diets or food plans, so we can better serve those desiring true weight loss that lasts.
